Each sculpture is carefully hand cast as a limited edition of just 250 castings and arrives presented in sumptuous hand made gift box with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity, making a thoughtful and unusual gift.

History of the collection

When Sue Maclaurin decided to sculpt a series of cats, she turned to the two cats who share her life for inspiration. They are a pair of very lively Siamese cross Burmese orientals that generally involve themselves fully with her work, whether invited to or not.

Sue chose three classic poses for her first collection of cat bronzes – Seated, Washing and a smaller Washing cat. Each piece is a sensitive study of her much loved models and have proved very popular with enthusiasts of cat art and cat collectables.

Collectors who have non oriental cats were very keen for Sue to sculpt pieces that looked like their pets, so in February 2014, we were pleased to unveil Sue’s first collection of five non pedigree cats.

Slightly larger than her oriental sculptures, these five pieces are the same scale as her hares and Sue picked her favourite poses for her first collection. Bounding Cat, Leaping Cat, Sitting Cat, Crouching Cat and Cat Licking Paw were added to our collection on 1st February 2014.
