The beautiful solid bronze Boxer Dog sculpture is a loving study by Sue Maclaurin of one of our favourite breeds of dog: the boundless source of energy and playfulness that is the larger than life Boxer.

We hand cast this sculpture in a British foundry in an edition of just 250 castings worldwide and every casting takes more than two weeks to create by hand.

‘Boxer Dog’ is presented in a beautiful hand made gift box, created by our box maker in the Midlands and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.  Whether a surprise for someone who shares their life (and sofa) with a Boxer, or in memory of a much loved member of the family, this gorgeous sculpture makes a wonderful and thoughtful gift.

The certificate was individually printed by hand from an original copper plate engraving in Hampshire, before being signed by the artist and numbered with the number of this casting. It is your guarantee that this is an original foundry casting of the sculptor’s work that she has personally approved.

This bronze casting is a perfect recreation of the artist’s original sculpture and was made in a Birmingham foundry. It bears the artist’s signature and its own unique edition number. As every piece is cast by hand and then the mould destroyed, each one is unique and so will be very slightly different to the last.

We have also been asked by many Boxer lovers to create a Boxer with a docked tail, so we were happy to oblige.  Both our docked and undocked Boxer Dog sculptures are taken from a single edition of 250 castings.  We first made a mould of the undocked Boxer, before Sue Maclaurin modified the tail on her original sculpture.  We then made  a second mould of the Boxer, now with a docked tail, to create bronze castings of the Boxer sculpture with a docked tail.  This means that only 250 castings of the Boxer Dog will ever be made, some with a docked tail and some with an undocked tail.   If you have any questions about this, please do call us on 01442 256290.
